After all the cool stuff that was show off at this year's MIX08 conference in Las Vegas, I got to thinking how I could use technologies such as Silverlight 2 and Deep Zoom. Two days after MIX08 wrapped up I found out about 2 careers expo, where I would get the chance to convince medical students to choose The Maitland Hospital and Hunter New England Health as a place to commence their careers.

So, the plan so far:

  • Silverlight base site to be developed
  • Silverlight embedded videos on lifestyle and training in the Hunter Region, hospitals within the HNE Health Network and Training  programs offered within HNE Health.
  • Deep Zoom photo gallery with high-res photos from around the Hunter Region

Thanks to Nick Hodge and Bronwen Zande for their suggestions and to the many Silverlight 2 and Deep Zoom tutorials out there!!
